Art of Racing Hat

Art of Racing Hat

35.00

The artwork and concept of the ‘Art of Racing’ hat was inspired from punk rock fanzines and their role as a vehicle for underground communication. Typically visually chaotic in nature the zines moved forward the DIY revolution. Their production was often irregular and in limited quantities.

The artwork under the brim was intentionally placed there to represent the ‘underground’ culture and message. The artwork includes the messages we are inspired by from the sport of running, including ‘137’ to represent Steve Scott’s record number of sub 4 miles and the complete disrespect he showed the once thought notion of that feat being impossible.

The upper is clean and simple, the way running should be. The front panel shows our arrow logo, which represents the marrying of two sports; the classic XC arrow with a track spike as the tip. The five fletchings represent the 5 scoring runners of a cross country team. The front panel is a woven poly for added protection and a mesh poly used on the sides for additional breathability. The hat is ultra-lite and race ready.

Only 10 hats are being sold here. If you snag one, wear it, run in it, race all out in it. Make the track, the road or the trail your canvas.
